LIME to reduce Fixed to Mobile Rate

As of October 1, 2011, the Fixed to Mobile rate for LIME customers will be reduced from 49 cents per min to 40 cents per min (VAT exclusive), in keeping with the new Price Cap Plan (PCP) that was approved by the NTRC on August 24, 2010.{{more}}

The announcement of the rate reduction was made on Wednesday, September 28, by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC).

A release from the NTRC said the Price Cap Plan was developed by ECTEL and regulates a number of fixed line services of LIME. Similar Price Cap Plans exist in Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia and St.Kitts and Nevis, which are all members of ECTEL.

This will be the fourth and final mandatory reduction for fixed to mobile rates under this current Price Cap Plan, which has seen the maximum rate for fixed to mobile calls moving from 57 cents to 40 cents per min, a 30 per cent reduction over the last 14 months.
