US Embassy holds competition for videographers 26 years and under

What is urban culture? Skateboarding, hip-hop music, urban dance?

The U.S Embassy of Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean is encouraging Caribbean citizens and youth to “Show us your urban vision!” by making a video about urban culture on their island and compete to win an HD Flip Video camera!{{more}}

The rules of the competition state that there should be no incitement to violence, no profanity, no pornography, and no commercial promotion.

Eligible participants must be both a citizen and a resident of Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Dominica or Antigua and Barbuda. Participants must be under the age of 26 on October 14, 2011.

All entries must be received by noon Eastern Daylight Time, on October 14, 2011, to be considered.

A selection of finalists will be chosen by the United States Embassy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. These finalists will be featured on the Embassy’s Facebook page from October 17, 2011 through October 21, 2011. The video entry with the most Facebook likes by noon Eastern Daylight Time on October 21, 2011 will be determined as the winning entry. The winner will receive a Flip Video UltraHD 8G that records two hours of video.
