The recently concluded workshop hosted over 50 children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old from Troumaca and the surrounding areas, teaching them how best to maximize their net books and how to use the Internet.

The two-week course was concluded with gift certificates to each participating student, along with printed t-shirts and a variety of gifts compliments KaribCable.

Co-organizer of the event Jolene Lewis of Belle Isle commented; “We can’t thank KaribCable enough for their generosity in making this workshop a reality. This is the first time we’ve done this and it was very successful. We had kids from Troumaca, Rose Hall, Rose Bank, Belmont, and even Canouan, take part in the workshop. We tried to show the kids how to maximize their net books and teach them how to use the world wide web, giving them a better understanding on how to access and utilize News, Educational Resource and Entertainment websites that can benefit them in the near future.”

“Being the No.1 Internet provider here in SVG, we’re always seeking ways and means of educating the kids of how important the internet is as part of their learning source,” said Vance Garraway, Marketing Executive at KaribCable.

“The Internet has become a necessity to use as a learning tool, and that’s why we have been part of this program. The kids of SVG need to learn how to use their netbooks and find out what the Internet can do for them as a learning tool.”

In addition, KaribCable is offering parents the opportunity to sign their children up to its Kids Internet Connection program for as little as $40.75 per month, Vat inclusive.
