Church’s, Mario’s close
After operating for just over 14 months, the restaurant franchises of Churchâs chicken and Marioâs pizza in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have been closed.{{more}}
The restaurants, which were located on the ground floor of the Sprottâs building on Bay Street, were operated by the company DâVincie Cuisine Ltd.
The approximately 50 staff members were issued letters on Saturday, August 13, which stated âDâVincie Cuisine Limited regrets to inform you that effective today, Saturday, August 13, 2011, at 9 p.m, will be closing its operations.â
The letter, signed by DâVincie Cuisine General Manager McSherry K.D. Hackshaw, thanked the employees for their contributions and instructed them to report to the Accounts department, tomorrow, Wednesday, August 17, to receive any payments due to them.
On Sunday, August 14, persons were seen removing equipment from the restaurants and packing them into a container parked in front of the building.
The restaurants, which opened their doors on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, offered a wide variety of fast foods, including chicken, wraps, sandwiches, pizza and ice cream.
