This summer, Hitz 103.7 & Total Inspiration 100.5, part of the SVG Broadcasting Corporation, will keep young kids and teenagers very busy at a time when they tend to be quite bored.{{more}} This is due to the launch of the ‘I’m so bored’ promotion from August 8, across both stations which target distinctively different niches.

Hitz 103.7 listeners can participate by calling into Hitz 103.7, say the magic words “I am so bored”, say why they are bored and answer questions correctly. For the facebook fans, persons can log on to Hitz’s facebook page (facebook.com/hitz103.7), post a photo considered to be their best summer photo; the photo receiving the most likes wins a Grand prize!

The youth Christian market will be specifically catered to with Total Inspiration 100.5’s popular Teen Light Saturday program from 12 to 3pm. Innovative ways will be used to engage the teens and their parents through interaction and competition on Total Inspiration’s BBM VIP Fan club (pin 21361f71). The Christian community will also have their opportunity to showcase their special photo summer moments on facebook, which can result in a Grand prize being offered to the person submitting the photo with the most likes.

Head of Sales & Marketing of the SVG Broadcasting, Candice Sealey commented that “School is out, parents are thinking about back to school and both parents and kids are thinking of ways in which they can have a fun filled summer vacation, hence the promotion is timely; the promotion is also one that kids can easily connect to.

Sealey further added that whilst some kids are involved in summer programs, this promotion will also facilitate parents’ involvement thus keeping both parents and children entertained. In addition, from the perspective of Total Inspiration 100.5, the ‘I’m so Bored’ promotion also allows particular focus to be given to the often untapped Christian youth market, who will have the opportunity to have some prizes as well as summer tips specifically to meet their needs.
