Gospel Hall Kingstown summer camp kicks off

If you were passing by the Kingstown Gospel Hall on Wednesday, July 20, you were probably greeted with the cacophony of voices and kaleidescope of colours that usually occur when children gather in one area.{{more}} These excited and energetic children are part of the Kingstown Gospel Hall’s Vacation Bible School (VBS), a summer program packed with wholesome activities for those aged 5-15.

The summer programme, which was started in 1999, runs from 9am to 1 pm and accomodates around 125 participants daily.

The children are split up into four groups where they each engage in singing, Bible lessons games and arts and craft.

This year, the VBS is being held under the theme “Sea Quest – Diving for God’s Glory”, and as such the group will travel to the Blue Lagoon for a picnic on Saturday. Additionally, many creative pieces done by the children are on display and will be featured at Sunday’s closing ceremony.(PM)
