UWI and Student Guild to host ‘The Moon Ah Shine Pon Me’

The University of the West Indies Open Campus, in collaboration with the local chapter of the Student Guild, will host an evening of Vincentian cuisine and entertainment entitled, ‘The Moon Ah Shine Pon Me’{{more}} on Friday, July 15, from 4:00 pm, at the Open Campus grounds, Murray’s Road.

The event will feature some of St. Vincent’s best talents, including the Starlift Steel Orchestra, La Gracia Dancers, Methodist Dramatists, and Rodney Small and Reajhaun Baptiste on pan. Mr. Andrew Young and Kevin Charles from the Cave Hill and St. Augustine Campuses will also perform. Special guest artistes will include Shaunelle Mc Kenzie and Bomani.

‘The Moon Ah Shine Pon Me’ is also an occasion for returning Vincentians to sample some of our finest cuisine. The proceeds from this event will aid in the establishment of a Student Support Fund for Open Campus students from the new academic year 2011/2012. An invitation is extended to the general public to support the event.
