In a media conference yesterday, Miller told reporters that on Friday, June 24, a police officer was involved in a fracas at Heritage Square. Describing the matter as âunacceptableâ, Miller said, âI want to apologise as Commissioner for the behaviour of that young policeman at Heritage Square on Friday night.â
âWe canât be here as senior officers, advising members of the public to maintain law and order so that we can have a peaceful and quiet Carnival, and a policeman is among those infringing the law,â Miller said.
Although not going into details of the matter, Miller said that it is being investigated and the appropriate actions will be taken.(KW)
