Male teacher faces court on charge of indecent assault of schoolboy

After months of investigations, one of three teachers alleged to have been involved in indecent activity with students was charged on Wednesday, June 22.{{more}}

Former graduate teacher Clyde Fitzpatrick was granted $6,000 bail after he appeared at the Serious Offences Court on a charge of indecent assault of a boy under the age of 15. The court did not accept a plea and the matter was transferred to the Family Court for Monday, June 27, when a date should be set for the hearing of the matter.

The Mathematics teacher was recently transferred to the civil service after being on suspension for the last few months.

Police confirmed to SEARCHLIGHT that investigations are still ongoing in the matter concerning the two other male teachers. It is alleged that logs of chat sessions of a sexually explicit nature between the teachers and students were retrieved from a computer hard drive.
