Minister Caesar leaves tomorrow for a meeting in Washington D.C.
Minister of Tourism and Industry Saboto Caesar will leave the state tomorrow to attend the Preparatory Meeting of the Nineteenth Inter-American Travel Congress.{{more}}
The meeting is scheduled to be held in Washington D.C, from June 23 to 24, 2011.
The objective of the Preparatory Meeting is to consider the document: Hemispheric Commitment of San Salvador for the Development of Sustainable Tourism, as well as to identify hemispheric cooperation mechanisms to promote Sustainable Tourism in the Americas.
The Inter-American Travel Congress is the principal forum for hemispheric dialogue and the formulation of tourism policy in the Americas.
It serves as a platform for the exchange of experiences and best practices to strengthen communication between government agencies and the private sector, consider technical cooperation proposals, and support member states in their effects to develop the tourism sector.
Caesar is expected to make a special presentation on Sustainable Tourism in St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the OAS External Relations Committee whilst there.
