3 get Mother’s Day home makeover from Digicel

Three persons had parts of their homes made over thanks to Digicel and the Bigger Better network’s 2011 Mother’s Day Promotion.{{more}}

On Thursday, June 9, Digicel personnel and delivery men from Courts SVG Limited journeyed to the homes of Linda Annett of Campden Park, Celena Lucas of Great House (Lowmans Hill) and Nolan Cox of Cedars.

These visits saw the three 2011 Mother’s Day Promotion winners receiving thousands of dollars in home appliances and furniture.

As the first prize winner, Annett received a full living room makeover. Her winnings got her a three piece chair set, a 42” Flat screen LG LCD television set, a coffee table, a rug and a Surround Sound Stereo System. Second place winner Lucas received a kitchen makeover. She won a fridge, a stove, a microwave. As part of her winnings, Lucas will receive on a monthly basis for the next six months a supply of Quix Powder, Blue Band Butter, Ragu Traditional, Wishbone French Dressing, Hellmans Mayonnaise and Lipton Pyramids compliments JG and Sons Limited.

Third place winner Cox got a laundry room makeover that got him a washer and dryer. His prize also includes compliments JG and Sons Limited, Breeze, Cif Disinfectant and Cif Cream (also given every month for six months).

Manager at JG and Sons Ltd Lennox Carr handed over the first set of kitchen and laundry supplies to Lucas and Cox last Friday, June 10th, at the store in Upper Middle Street.

Commenting on Thursday, Annett said that she was very happy to have won the prize.

“I still can’t believe that I have won such a great prize. This is the third time that I have won stuff and I am very thankful and I would like to say thanks to Digicel for choosing me”, said Annett.

She stressed, “I can’t even say all the things that I want to say because I am so happy”. She added that she has been with Digicel for a number of years, “and I am always looking out to try and win something and this time it’s as they say, Bigger and Better”.

The second place winner Lucas looked at her winnings as Digcel giving her a good start as she is currently planning to start a new life on her own.

“I am truly happy because I am going to move on my own shortly, so getting all these appliances is a great help”, said Lucas who also said: “I would like to thank Digicel for giving me this opportunity to have a new start in my life”.

Cox sees his laundry room makeover as a blessing from God.

“I am kind of surprised because I was not looking for this, but my Father’s words say that he will give me vineyards that I did not plant”, said Cox who added: “I want to give God thanks and thank God for Digicel. I had a washer so now I have a dryer I am looking forward to the rainy season”. He also described Digicel’s service as, “Good”.

Digicel’s Mother’s Day promotion was launched on Wednesday, May 4, and was opened to every Digicel customer. It was held in collaboration

with Courts St. Vincent Limited and J.G & Sons Limited. Prepaid customers were entered in the draw for the prizes when they joined the Digicel Family (purchased a handset) or topped up $20 or more. Persons

who purchased a Blackberry device and signed up for prepaid Blackberry were also entered. Post-paid customers were entered

in the draw when they

joined the Digicel Family (signed up for post-paid plan), paid their postpaid bill in full (within the promotional period April 26, 2011 to May 27, 2011) and purchased a Blackberry and signed up for data.
