Several officers move up in Police Force promotions
Two women are among several police officers who were this week promoted to senior positions in the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.{{more}}
Assistant Superintendant of Police (ASP) Stenela Francis, the highest ranking woman in the Police Force, has moved one notch higher, and has been appointed to act as Superintendent of Police. Her appointment took effect on April 1, 2011. Another woman, Inspector Ruth Jacobs, has been appointed to act as ASP, also from April 1.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Lenroy Brewster is now acting Deputy Commissioner of Police. He replaces Deputy Commissioner of Police Bertie Pompey who has proceeded on pre-retirement leave. Brewsterâs appointment also took effect on April 1. To fill the vacancy created by Brewsterâs promotion, Superintendent of Police Michael Charles has been promoted to act as Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Among the other promotions disclosed to SEARCHLIGHT was that of Station Sergeant Frankie Joseph, who has been confirmed as Superintendent of Police, effective May 1. Also from that date, two Inspectors, Richard Browne and Jonathan Nicholls, have been confirmed in the positions of ASP; Inspector Arnon King has been promoted to act as ASP, effective May 1.
Station Sergeants Calvin Glasgow and Alan John have been confirmed as Inspectors of Police, while Sergeant Glenford Gregg has been promoted to the post of Inspector, effective May 1. Station Sergeants Timothy Hazelwood, Desmond Haywood and Leonard Fergus, and Sergeant OâNeal Henry, from May 1, been appointed to act as Inspectors.
Corporal Benzil Samuel has been promoted to the post of Station Sergeant, effective May 1.
