NBC Radio relaunches website

Persons visiting the National Broadcasting Corporation’s (NBC) website (www.nbcsvg.com) can expect to see a new, revamped design.{{more}} The new site was launched on Monday, June 6, 2011, at the radio station’s office at Richmond Hill, Kingstown.

Describing the features of the website, General Manager of NBC Radio Corletha Ollivierre stated that the website is more user-friendly. She mentioned several reasons why the website had been re-designed, including that with the advancements in technology, as well as the popularity of several social networking sites, the corporation must keep abreast in order to respond to the needs of the public.

Website designer Kishore Shallow, Managing Director of KS Designs, described the new features of the website, which include up to twenty banner spaces, where local businesses can advertise, as well as added information about the radio presenters and announcers and a photo gallery.

The site also has other components, including information on upcoming events, “What’s on Today”, music videos and a Live Chat programme which enables the public to log in and chat with each other or radio announcers.

Ollivierre stated that in addition to designing the website, Shallow will be training staff in house to maintain the site. She added that Shallow will also be engaged in organizing sales for the site for a six month period.
