FCCA Essay Contest deadline

The Ministry of Tourism and Industry is reminding interested students that the deadline for submission of essays in the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) 2011 Foundation Children’s Essay Contest is drawing near.{{more}}

The deadline for submission of essays on the topic “What Does Sustainable Tourism Mean to Your Destination?” to the Ministry of Tourism and Industry is today Friday, June 3.

All primary and secondary school students are invited to participate in the contest which will be conducted in two age categories: Junior Division- Children ages 12 and under (contestants may not have passed his/her 13th birthday by September 26, 2011) and Senior Division – Children ages 13 to 16 years (contestants may not have passed his/her 17th birthday by September 26, 2011).

Each student must submit one essay written in English, 500-750 words in length.

One essay will be selected from each category to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines and a monetary reward will be given to finalists for their efforts.
