Vincy Foreign Based for 2k11
For Vincy Mas 2K11, Vincy Foreign Based is fully functioning and promises to deliver a very memorable Carnival experience. Like time, as a young organization that is in its sixth year of existence, we have grown, and with growth change is inevitable.{{more}} As an organization we have made a few changes impacting our direction and membership.
Initially, our organization was recognized mainly for social events. However, within the last year we have incorporated community service for people in St. Vincent & the Grenadines as well as those in the Diaspora. We were one of the forefront organizations leading the hurricane Tomas relief effort, as well as the just concluded Flood Disaster Drive, both held in the USA. As we continue to participate in cultural events such as Vincy Mas by hosting a Monday T-Shirt band, our intentions are to further this role promoting Vincy culture by participating in New York Labor Day 2K11 celebration, affiliating ourselves with another Vincentian organization Exotica Mas Band. Going forward in the near future, we will be expanding our activities to include a family day, outing as well as providing assistance where possible to Vincentians home and abroad. The goal is to unite and have full participation from Vincentians both at home and in the Diaspora for all occasions Vincy Foreign Based is involved with.
Vincy Mas, the Hottest Carnival in the Caribbean, for 2K11 Vincy Foreign Based will definitely be bigger and better. This year in collaboration with St. Vincent Building and Loan Association who is celebrating their 70th year of providing financial services for Vincentians home and abroad we will be hosting a Monday T-shirt band on the road. This is in addition to other business entities such as Harioun, Mountain Top, Rent and Drive, Aunt Jobeâs Supermarket, Lottery, CDC, Specks Concrete Products, Standard Shippers and Tire Smart which have all provided sponsorship and supported us over the years. Hopefully, our street bar location will be the same as in previous years on Bay Street opposite Photomax. Available there will be continuous music and additional entertainment. Food and drinks will be on sale, as well as T-shirts for our Monday street jump up band. Our goal as always is to provide an opportunity for revelers, local or visitors, to be able to participate. On Carnival Monday we look forward to seeing you on the road enjoying yourselves with us.
As we continue to embark on attaining our goals, we are fully aware and recognize that sincere full commitment, great partnership, cohesiveness, trustworthiness and integrity are vital and pillars to our success. To further strengthen our resolve, we have added two new members Ainsley Primus and Chandelle De Riggs-Bailey to our existing membership, which consists of: Sebastian âBasâ Audain, Garnes Byron, Garry âTunkaâ Edwards, Conroy McBarnett, Yvonne Peters, Winston âKopeyâ Robin and Earl Tyrrel. While adding new members, we have also parted ways with Ulric âSocaâ Jones who is no longer a member of the organization and has no authorization to conduct any business on behalf of Vincy Foreign Based.
The members of Vincy Foreign Based take this opportunity to thank all who have supported us through the years and look forward to that continued support in the coming years. We look forward to opportunities to either partner with you or seeing you at any of our Vincy Foreign Based sponsored functions.
