JCI St. Vincent to host health fair

JCI St.Vincent in collaboration with the Ministry of Health will be hosting two health fairs on Saturday, May 21, and Saturday, May 28, respectively.{{more}}

This Saturday’s fair takes place at the Barrouallie Community Centre, while that of Saturday, May 28, will be staged at the Kingstown Post Office Gallery.

The fairs will be held under the theme: “A Ray of Hope-for a Healthy Life”.

Several services will be provided at the health fairs, including: free blood sugar testing, free blood pressure testing, women’s health and pregancy, condoms usage demonstration, birth control, HIV/AIDS prevention, AIDS testing, and information on kidney disease. A local doctor will make presentations on healthy lifestyle practices.

The first lecture was successfully held on Saturday, May 14.
