The first batch of students to successfully complete the one-year BIMAP Certificate in Management Studies (BCMS) will be presented with their certificates at the graduation ceremony, while three other persons will receive certificates in General Management, Supervisory Management, Personnel Management and Occupational Safety & Health Management, having completed the three-month certificate courses.
The BCMS programme was introduced in St Vincent and the Grenadines for the first time last year, after CED and BIMAP partnered to bring a higher level of professional training and learning to Vincentians. The programme is aimed at persons already in the workforce who wish to enhance their careers, or update their skills to meet the increased demands for specialization in the work environment, without having to travel abroad. Of the 17 persons to graduate, nine (9) have specialized in General Management, six (6) in Supervisory Management, and two in Human Resource Management.
Thursdayâs graduation will be held under the theme: âEmpowerment through Effective Management in a Changing Worldâ and takes place at the Methodist Church Hall at 10:00 a.m.
Minister of Tourism and Industry Honourable Saboto Caesar and BIMAPâs Training Administrator Dr. Sonia Greenidge-Franklyn will address the ceremony. Business Consultant Dr. Julian Ferdinand will present the Feature Address.
