North River bridge will not be ready for Miss SVG 2011
Chief Executive Officer of the Carnival Developent Corporation Ashford Wood says repair work on the bridge at North River, adjacent to the Victoria Park, will not be completed in time for Miss SVG 2011, which takes place on May 28.{{more}}
Wood told SEARCHLIGHT that persons who wish to enter the Park will have to do so from the other entrance points at the Park. He said he has been given the assurance that the bridge will be ready in time for other shows. âWe have been given the assurance that the bridge will be ready for the actual Carnival,â Wood said.
Work on the bridge commenced over two months ago and is being spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport,Works etc.
