Benefitting from this act of kindness were residents of the shelter as well as all those who are involved in the clean up and restoration efforts.
The distribution of the lunches was done from the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Georgetown. Representatives from NEMO, led by Acting Director Michele Forbes, were present to help coordinate the distribution. Forbes expressed thanks and appreciation to the church for their generosity and assistance.
The church considers it part of its Christian obligation to reach out and touch lives and minister to those in need.
Last week the church donated six water tanks to the area and there are currently other efforts to help bring relief to the affected residents.
