Kyron Duncan, Universal Service Fund (USF) administrator at the NTRC, said the USF is another aspect of the NTRC which implements projects throughout the country.
The public was given the opportunity to lodge any queries and concerns they had about telecommunication services.
Duncan noted that staff at the NTRC are currently carrying out four projects throughout St.Vincent and the Grenadines, which include: placing Internet hot spots in 29 different locations throughout the country, including all learning resource centres and a few community centres.
He mentioned that a pay phone service will soon be introduced and plans are already afoot to develop maritime coverage in the country.
The fourth project that was tendered recently will see Internet access being available at every school throughout the country.
âThis is a more effective way of persons to learn about the NTRC and share whatever concerns they may have. …We are always looking for ways to improve Telecommunications in SVG,â Duncan said.
The NTRC regulates all forms of telecommunication within St.Vincent and the Grenadines.
