Health Springs marks its first anniversary
After one year in business, physical therapy clinic Health Springs is doing well and growing.{{more}}
Rhonelle Grant, the proprietor of the clinic which is located at Beachmont, Richmond Hill, said that in one year of operations, she and her services have affected positively the health and well being of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Physical Therapist said that she is grateful for the year that has gone and that the experience has been a wonderful one and looks forward to more years of service.
âI have learnt a lot and was able to contribute positively to a lot of lives and families.
âI am indeed grateful to God and his mercies and also the doctors who referred patients to me. My past teachers, staff a the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital physiotherapy department, families, friends and well wishers, my clients and the general public; they all contributed to making the past year a success. â
Services rendered at Health Springs include, but are not limited to the treatment of persons with a wide range of ailments such as back pain, arthritis, carpel tunnel syndrome, post surgical aches and pains, stroke, spinal cord injuries as well as respiratory and cardiovascular affectations.
Grant noted that the most common of ailments that she had seen since in operation was that of back pain and pinched nerves, which she said may occur from a wide range of causes and may be due in most parts to bad posture, inactivity, incorrect exercise techniques and other degenerative diseases.
Offering some free advice, Grant suggested there are simple things that persons can do to eradicate back pain: ⦠âSuch as the position in which the position in which you sleep, the way you lift a box off the floor, the way you sit and drive, the way you sit at your desk. These things can be adjusted to improve your symptoms.â
As part of the businessâ expansion, Grant indicated that Registered Massage Therapist Nadia Waite has come on board to offer a series of treatments to customers.
Waite, an Ontario, Canada trained therapist, enables Health Springs to cater to a wider group of individuals, including those who suffer from headaches and migraines, insomnia, anxiety and depression, sinusitis, constipation and chronic fatigue syndrome.
In addition to her strong foundation in Swedish Massage Therapy, aromatherapy and Deep Tissue Massage, she is able to provide rehabilitative massage therapies including Trigger Point Therapy, sports massages, acupressure and other treatments.
Waite, born of Vincentian parents, stated that she was looking forward to continuing the positive contributions that her new workplace is making.
âHealth Springs is giving me the opportunity to show the public that massage is not only a luxury, and that it can be used in their health care plan as well.â
âI like to help people so I am looking forward to see how far I can go in making a difference in lives through massage therapy.â
As part of its anniversary celebrations, and as an introductory offer to the massage treatments, Health Springs is offering discounts to current and new clients on all massages from May 3rd to 13th.
Health Springs first opened its doors on May 2nd. Their hours of operation are 8am to 4pm Monday to Fridays, and 8am to 12pm on Saturdays.
Grant indicated that their hours are also âflexibleâ.
