Last Thursday, Marketing Manager of Courts Alexis John handed over the cheque to festival organizer Michael Peters, at the Courts showroom in Kingstown.
Peters welcomed Courts on board as a sponsor of the event and said that the contribution was a tremendous one that would go a long way in the development of the program which is held annually.
âA contribution like this allows us to maintain the admission at a low and affordable cost and present a high impact festival.
âWe appreciate this gesture from Courts and hope that they will be on board with us for a long time to come.â
John, in presenting the cheque, said: âCourts is delighted to be a part of the Event for the first time. We appreciate such an event which is designed to uplift our nation spirtually.
âWe look forward to a much greater sponsorship role in next yearâs event. Our goal is to help take the event to a much higher level.â
The 2011 edition of Gospel Fest climaxes this weekend, with the top performers and performances from the nine zonal showcases meeting at the Victoria Park this Saturday and Sunday.
The two days of gospel entertainment will feature local band Voices of Victory, along with internationally acclaimed gospel artistes Nicole Ballosingh, and St. Vincent and the Grenadinesâ very own Anthony âPapa Dasâ Glasgow.
