Primary School performing Arts students receive awards
Primary School Students have been awarded for their outstanding performances in this yearâs Ministry of Culture and Professional Secretarial Services Inc. Primary School Performing Arts Festival (PRISPAF).{{more}}
The festival ran from February 14 to March 11, 2011. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, April 15, at the Methodist Church Hall. Coordinator of the Festival Martin Quashie hailed this yearâs festival a tremendous success. Quashie said the festival offers an avenue to showcase the talents embedded in the youngsters.
Meanwhile, Minister of Culture Frederick Stephenson said the Primary School Performing Arts Festival is a very important event for the nationâs children. As a result, the Minister announced that the festival which is in its fifth year and was held bi-annually will now be held every year.
The main sponsor of the festival welcomed the news that it will now be staged every year. Camille Crichton of the Professional Secretarial Consultancy Inc. expressed satisfaction in the quality of the performances displayed and pledged her continued financial support to the festival.
This year, 55 Primary Schools participated in the Primary Schools Performing Arts Festival. (API)
