New VINSA Executive, Jamaica
The Vincentian Students Association (VINSA), Jamaica Charter, has a new executive, which will govern the organizationâs affairs during the 2011-2012 academic year.{{more}}
Shavar Maloney, a student from the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), at the Mona Campus, is the new president.
As Maloney took up his new post, he thanked the out-going executive for a job well done and assured them that the Vincentian flag will be kept flying high in the coming year.
Maloney is presently completing the first year of his undergraduate degree at the University of the West Indies. The other members of the executive are Vice President – Jeon Adams; Secretary – Judy Cuffy; Treasurer -Javorne Williams; Public Relations Officer – Val Matthias; and Culture and Entertainment Chairperson – Franze George.
The new executive has pledged to be more visible at tertiary level institutions in Jamaica and to maintain the image of Vincentian students in Jamaica.
