On Wednesday, March 30, Digicel’s Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche formally presented the projector to Assistant Superintendent of Police and Director of the NCCP Frankie Joseph at Digicel’s Corporate Office located in the Lewis Building on James Street.

Joseph said that with the donation of the projector, Digicel has shown that “they are partnering with us in the fight against crime.”

ASP Joseph revealed that the NCCP is responsible for initiating and implementing crime prevention programmes among the population.

He said that the projector will help them get the message across, “in this technological era where we need to keep up.”

ASP Joseph added that the projector will compliment their lecture based method of disseminating information.

He stressed that the machine will help them to keep the attention of young people by appealing to both the sense of sight and hearing.

DeRoche said that Digicel is always looking at ways to help improve the effectiveness of entities like the NCCP. She added that Digicel is committed to helping make the countries in which they operate safer.

The handing over was witnessed by Thelma Charles, a Teacher attached to the NCCP.
