‘Fine Art, Film and Fashion Week’ to be staged by the Department of Culture

The Department of Culture presents its 3rd annual ‘Fine Art, Film and Fashion Week’ from February 1 to 3, 2011.{{more}}

A release from the Ministry said during the week, the works of our creative artists will be showcased, and they will also look towards guiding the development of our young potential film makers by sharing with them the work of regional artists under the Travelling Caribbean Film Showcase.

The programme is scheduled to start at 9am and end at 3pm daily.

A closing ceremony will also be hosted on Thursday, February 3, at the Peace Memorial Hall, from 6pm.

The three venues of presentation are: February 1 – Biabou Learning Resource Centre; February 2 – Layou Learning Resource Centre; February 3 – Peace Memorial Hall.

“Our Department aims to cultivate a practice where artists and students can come together around a shared belief in the power of the arts for developing human potential through expression,” the release said.
