69-year-old man beaten with cutlass, shot in leg

Up to press time, 69-year-old Vermont resident, Clarence Straker was nursing a gunshot wound to his leg at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.{{more}}

Police say the victim reported that two men beat him with a cutlass just before shooting him in his left leg on January 16, 2011, at about 3am.

Investigations are still ongoing.
