The event, which will be held at the Calder Seventh Day Adventist Church from Saturday, December 25, to Saturday, January 1, takes the theme: âLet Us Love One Anotherâ.
At the end of the one week programme a baptism will be held.
âWe need to start the New Year right, on the right footing. We usually make a lot of resolutions that we will do this and we will do that. We need to start the New Year on the right foot, on a spiritual high, understanding that Christ wants us to have a deeper binding relationship with him,â said the veteran minister of 15 years experience.
He said the programme also offers students who are preparing for their examinations an opportunity to start the year on a positive note.
âIâve heard an adage that if you start it right, it will end right,â said Morgan, a former calypsonian who performed using the name âSamaritanâ.
Morgan, known for his inspiring messages which usually prompt listeners to do deep self examination, said his sermons will include âHow to deal with hypocrites in the churchâ, âWhat is affecting the discipleship of Christâ, and âThe Spirit of the Lawâ.
During his tenure as a pastor, Morgan, who returned to St.Vincent and the Grenadines in February 2010, has baptized thousands of people in Africa, the United States and the Caribbean.
Even though his programme is targeted at the members of his district, he expressed optimism that it will also attract persons from throughout St.Vincent and the Grenadines. (HN)
