A release says the church âsympathizes with the Government and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines as a result of losses suffered from the passage of Hurricane Tomas. This tragedy is one which exposes our vulnerability and helplessness against the ravages of nature. The church will continue to do its part in humanitarian service as we join with the rest of the nation in helping those displaced, by seeking to rebuild lives and properties.â
âThis catastrophe is a wake up call to all as to the importance of placing our total trust and dependence in God, for within a momentâs notice our environment can change for the worse. It is also a vivid indication that nature is in agitation against manâs transgression of Godâs laws and a timely reminder that Jesus is coming back soon to restore all things to their original perfection,â the release said.
The release said other donations will be made in the form of building materials, food supplies and clothing.
