St. Vincent and the Grenadines was represented at the funeral of the late David Thompson, former prime minister of Barbados by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sir Louis Straker and his wife.{{more}}

It had been announced earlier this week that Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves would attend, but he is recovering from a bout of influenza, and as a result could not travel to Barbados for the funeral which took place on Wednesday.
