Wall collapses at Belair

Villagers in the Top Belair area were awakened late Friday night around 11p.m. by the loud crash of what turned out to be a retaining wall.{{more}}

The occurance followed days of heavy rains in the area.

The collapse caused several problems to residents including the loss of water from Friday night until 1 p.m. Saturday. The debris from the collapsed wall also blocked more than half the road, forcing vehicles to manoeuvre onto the premises of Oscar’s Machine Centre in order to continue their travel.
