Total Inspiration Bible Festival finals this weekend

The final of the Total Inspiration 100.5 SVG Bible Festival 2010 will take place this weekend.{{more}}

The event which is organized by the SVG Gospel Festival Committee, under the theme “Wisdom Through The Word of God”, will take place on Sunday, October 17, at the Faith Temple Church.

Representatives of six churches are expected to take part in the event.

Some 15 churches participated in the first round of the zonal preliminaries, which started on Friday, October 8.

Participating in the competition are defending champs Apostolic Faith Mission Bequia, Bethel Gospel Assembly Georgetown, Church of God Fairhall, Churches of God of Prophecy, Faith Temple Church, Full in the Spirit Pentecostal Church, Kingdom Life Tabernacle,Vermont Miracle Tabernacle, Sandy Bay Gospel Chapel, Pembroke Pentecostal, Wesleyan Holiness Church Georgetown, New Testament Church Chapmans and Light House Ministry.

The national Bible Festival, started in 2009, is comprised of six rounds of biblical quizzes and impromptu speech. All questions are from the Authorized King James version of the Bible.

The six rounds of Biblical quizzes include:

General Knowledge, Who was Jesus talking to? Finish this verse, What does the Bible say about….? Bible study and On Your Feet.

The impromptu speech section will be on topical social and religious issues, with participants having two minutes to make presentations.

The Total Inspiration 100.5 SVG Bible Festival was developed to encourage persons to read and study the Word of God as recorded in the Bible for healthy spiritual development and effective christian service, as well as to increase the frequency, variety and quality of Christian activities in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
