The institute, established in June 2007, was first launched on October 12, 2008, at a ceremony held at the Peace Memorial Hall. Since then, it has been engaged in providing human rights education through the local media. The institute hosts a weekly interactive radio program on Cross Country Radio called âYour Rights and Youâ and a thrice monthly television program on SVGTV called âThe Rights of the Peopleâ.
âWe thank God for the grace and privilege He has given us to provide continual education on Rights and Freedoms through different media. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the public for your support and encouragement over the last two years. May God bless you and we pledge our sincere and sacrificial service to you, in continuing to fulfill our God-given mandate – to provide Human Rights education with special emphasis on Religious Libertyâ, said Secretary General and PRO of TIRL, Ann-Marie Ballantyne.
The general public is invited to attend the exhibition.
