Opposition Leader will cut fees of Statutory Boards

Opposition Leader Arnhim Eustace says that in addition to cutting the salaries for members of Parliament, he also intends to reduce the fees collected by members of statutory boards.{{more}}

The announcement was met with a resounding applause from the audience at last Thursday’s town hall meeting held at the Bay Hill apartments at Sion Hill Bay.

“That is one of the proposals in our manifesto, and I have every intention of implementing that,” he said.

The Opposition Leader metioned that there were some people sitting on multiple boards and are collecting lots of money.

“Those persons who sit on boards will have to accept it, or if not don’t sit on boards,” Eustace declared. (DD)
