Coreas Hazells, Haliborange give wings to Spelling Bee
Coreas Hazells Inc and Haliborange have teamed up for the third consecutive year to sponsor the Rotaract Club of Kingstownâs Spelling Bee Competition.{{more}}
The preliminaries began yesterday and will continue on October 13 and 15 with the final to be held on October 30.
This yearâs sponsorship is $15,000 and will go towards transportation, rental of venue and prizes.
In addition to the monetary contribution, Coreas Hazells Inc and Haliborange will also sponsor the winner and a chaperone to the regional Haliborange Rotaract Spelling Bee finals in St Lucia in November.
Over 65 schools are expected to participate in this yearâs competition.
The competition is now in its 12th year.
Ajay Miller of the Kingstown Preparatory School won the local and regional competition last year.
