Chamber to discuss impact of International Airport on businesses

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CIC) will be holding a session to discuss the likely impact of the Argyle International Airport on Vincentian businesses.{{more}}

This event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, from 4:30p.m. to 6:30p.m. at the Chamber’s Conference Room at the Corea’s Building, Hillsborough Street, Kingstown.

The session aims to highlight the importance of the airport to the economic development of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, identify the types of businesses that will be needed to support the airport, and disseminate information on the progress of construction of the facility.

It will be facilitated by Dr. Rudy Matthias, Chairman/CEO of the International Airport Development Company (IADC).

A news release from the CIC stated that the airport will be a new gateway to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is expected to present new opportunities and avenues for Vincentian businesses.

The news release added as the business community in St.Vincent and the Grenadines eagerly awaits the completion of the international airport, there is a multiplicity of questions and concerns in relation to the project.

The session is expected to attract a wide cross section of businesses from all sectors, and the CIC is anticipating the full participation of the public.
