The 6th Annual College and Career Exhibition takes place at the Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, October 13 and 14, 2010. This event is being held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
An Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 13, at 9:00am, in which local, regional and international institutions are registered to participate.
The College and Career Exhibition and Special Lectures by college recruiters are open to the general public.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Cap City Walk takes place on Friday, October 15, 2010, and will commence at Heritage Square from approximately 3:30pm. The Walk will proceed to Bay Street, to Higginson Street to Grenville Street, Halifax Street and back to Heritage Square for an educational Rally and small cultural package. Pink Caps and Tote bags for the occasion are on sale at QUIK-PRINT on Bay Street, and at Caribbean Medical Imaging Center – Stoney Ground. These funds help to support persons affected by Breast Cancer.
This year, a new feature to this Public campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness will see the CW Prescod Primary School Drummers and the La Gracia Dancers lead the Walk throughout the route, in a special âexpressionâ of youth involvement in this essential awareness promotion.
The SVG Medical Association invites the general public to support these events. For further information, please call at 457-0317.
