Top speakers to represent St. Vincent & the Grenadines

Member of the Achievers Toastmasters Club Glenda Matthews and Roseanne Russel of the Creative Thinkers Club will represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines in a regional competition which takes place here this month.{{more}}

The two qualified for the October 16 competition, which takes place here during the annual speech conference and contest slated for October 15 to 17.

Matthews, speaking on the topic ‘Sleeping with a Toastmaster’, secured herself the top position and the right to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines, following the local contest which was held last Sunday, September 16, at the Paradise Inn Hotel.

She will compete in the humorous speech category of the competition.

Russell qualified for the evaluation contest of the conference, which takes place at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown.

Russell won the evaluation contest over Ryan Hazel and Barbara Soso, while Matthews took the first position over Afzal Abdool and Nigel Scott. (JJ)
