Men of Excellence Retreat this weekend

The Evangelical Churches of the West Indies, SVG, will host its annual Men of Excellence Retreat this coming weekend – from October 1 to 3 – at the Grace and Truth Campsite in Layou Ministering at the conference will be national and regional speakers, such as Rev. Courtney Richards, Rev. Maxwell Providence, Rev. George Frederick and Rev. Wade Carter.{{more}}

Rev. Courtney Richards is Missionary at large to the Eastern Caribbean now living in Grenada. He was, until recently, a Senior Lecturer in Psychology, Counselling and Spiritual Formation, and former Head of the Behavioural and Social Sciences Department at the Jamaica Theological Seminary in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies.

Rev. Maxwell Providenceis the pastor of the Barrouallie Evangelical Church, while Rev. George Fredericks is an ordained bishop with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies (PAWI) and is the senior pastor of Hill Top Tabernacle. He is also the long-standing co-host of the Monday night television program: Encounter.

Rev. Wade Carter is the pastor of the Questelles Evangelical Church.

They will present on topics derived from the retreat’s theme: Developing a Culture of Godly Relationships.

According to the Men’s Committee of ECWI, the organizers of the event, the overarching aim of this year’s conference is to affirm that healthy personal relationships are hallmarks of godliness that build and reflect a man’s Christianity, and to promote such relationship centered living.

The retreat brings together teenage and adult males, Christians and non-Christians from across the country for a time of spiritual refreshment and strengthening, and brotherhood building.
