The Company suspended services to the island on August 26 due to a downgrade of the fire services at the Canouan Jetport. The fire service, which had been downgraded to category two, is now upgraded to category 5, which is the minimum requirement for LIAT to fly to any destination.
LIAT operates a total of six flights to Canouan each week – two on Fridays, two on Saturdays and two on Sundays. The flights all originate in Barbados.
