Last month the organisation presented EC$2,000 to Monica Nanton to meet some of the expenses associated with the treatment of breast cancer.
The cheque was presented by Simon Glynn of the Friends of the Georgetown Hospital, in the presence of several members of the organisation.
Ms Nanton was diagnosed with cancer just over a year ago and has to travel to Trinidad and Tobago monthly for treatment.
The Friends of Georgetown Hospital will be embarking on a fund raising drive, to put the organisation in a better position to provide assistance for needy persons in that part of the state.
