Every weekend, running from September to December, Vincentians will be provided with entertainment at a new location, courtesy STAR FM “SVG Fun Fest 2010”.{{more}}

The initiative formulated by Mastermind Entertainment and Vincy Hot Spot is managed by Colin ‘Hitman’ Graham and Garth Ryan.

The programme was officially launched on Saturday, September 4, at the Chile Playing Field.

Graham and Ryan are aiming to create a programme that would build a fun-filled and more positive attitude among youths.

Throughout the STAR FM “SVG Fun Fest 2010” campaign, they will be seeking to discover and develop new local talent across St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

At its first tour at Chile Playing Field, “SVG Fun Fest” began with children participating in a number of games. They were all given prizes.

This was followed by two segments called “Rockstar Vincy Star Search” and the “Number One Spot Dance Competition” where patrons were provided with the opportunity to display their talents. They were allowed to audition for a place in the grand finale, to be held at the Victoria Park in December.

The winner of the “Rockstar Vincy Star Search” will receive a cash prize and a $5,000 record deal with a major producer here. The “Number One Spot Dance Competition” winner will also receive a cash prize and a music video package deal featuring a major artiste.

The curtains came down on the Chile Playing Field event with the “SVG Carib Girl Search”. Participants were given an opportunity to be a part of the grand finale where a team of girls will be selected to be featured in a series of promotions, which will include television, radio and newspaper advertisements, and other marketing tools.

The second event was held at the Biabou Playing Field on, Saturday, September 11.

The next tour will take place at the Diamond Industrial Estate this Saturday and interested persons are urged to take advantage of the opportunity to register to be a part of the show.
