Assistant Manager of the Arnos Vale supermarket Lorene Charles, speaking to SEARCHLIGHT on Sunday, said that it has been a hectic first three days of operations, since the doors opened on Friday, September 10.
When SEARCHLIGHT visited the supermarket just hours after its 7a.m. âsoft openingâ, a number of customers and curious onlookers had already visited the facility and made purchases or just browsed the aisles.
Charles indicated that later that day, throngs of shoppers and onlookers visited the supermarket with positive words on the latest establishment, owned by entrepreneur Luke Boyea.
âThe patrons are impressed with the layout. Some have gone as far as to say the environment is âhigh techâ.â
Charles said that there are a number of promotions and special events at the new venue, which will be undertaken by suppliers of the supermarket. The new Aunt Jobeâs has a sister store at the Russellâs Building at Stony Ground.
Charles added that she is optimistic that the supermarket, which employs about 50 persons, will provide the usual Aunt Jobeâs standard that patrons are accustomed to, and that the new location will be as vibrant as its sister company.
âWe believe that it is going to be like that as long as we provide the services that our customers are accustomed to.â
