New directors at Coreas Hazells

Three new board members were elected when Corea’s Hazells Inc held its annual general meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at its central office in Kingstown.{{more}}

Tracy Shuffler, Jimmie Forde and Kevin Dickson now join Ian Alleyne, Nicholas Mackie and Joel Providence, as directors, charged with guiding the affairs of Coreas Hazells Inc and Corea and Co (1988) Ltd.

Shuffler, a marketing and management expert, presently serves as the Deputy Divisional Manager of the Import, Distribution and Marketing division of Goddard Enterprises Ltd, while Dickson is the company’s Financial Controller, and Forde is the Food Division Manager.

In a release issued by the company on Wednesday September 8, General Manager Joel Providence stated that the company “has performed reasonably well during the past financial year, especially in light of the global economic challenges.”

He said the company will now move to “consolidate its base, while seeking to develop its operations at Diamond and elsewhere n St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”

Providence reaffirmed his commitment to the continued development of the company, which has been in existence since 1845. He said the company will “also pursue reasonable investment opportunities in the country.”
