Passengers in Pajero plunge into river

Four persons are counting their lucky stars today, having walked away with their lives, from the wreckage of Mitsubishi Pajero P6247, which ended up in the river along Murray Road, early on the morning of Saturday, August 28.{{more}}

According to a police source, at about 6 a.m., the vehicle, owned by Franco Construction Ltd. and driven by Charmaine Theobalds Francis of Queen’s Drive, was heading out of town, when the driver lost control in the area of the Haddon Hotel Tennis Courts.

According to reports, the driver sustained cuts to her forehead, cheek and right eye. Passenger Albert Murray, 29, a bartender of Calder, complained of pain in his back and knee. Passenger Josette Cupid, 29, of Cane Hall received a cut to her left leg and complained of back pain. Mark Rawlins of Barrouallie also complained of back pain. The vehicle was extensively damaged. The accident is still under investigation.
