St. Vincent gets two Taiwanese voluteers

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sir Louis Straker, met with the two new Taiwanese volunteers earlier this week. The volunteers were accompanied by the Charge d’Affaires of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Michael Lin. The new volunteers are Bor-Lin Miao and Ya-Sung Lee.{{more}}

Sir Louis warmly welcomed them and wished them success as they perform their service in St Vincent and the Grenadines and enjoy the beautiful country at the same time.

The two new volunteers said it is their first visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines. The said they are looking forward to working with the Vincentian people and enjoying the time they have here.

Charge d’Affaires Lin stated that Taiwan annually dispatches volunteers to St. Vincent in order to strengthen the interaction of the youth between the two countries. Upon SVG’s request, Miao and Lee are assigned to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Telecommunications, respectively.

Miao’s specialty is Hospital Management and Lee’s is website design.

There are three other sitting volunteers in SVG.
