Digicel gives back to customers after bad weather disrupts service

Customers of mobile network provider Digicel received EC$5 free credit this week.{{more}}

The free top up came as a gesture of goodwill from the company following a loss of service after an intense thunderstorm which passed over St. Vincent and the Grenadines between Monday, August 9, and Tuesday, August 10.

A press release from Digicel Marketing Executive Justin John said that the service disruption occurred at approximately 4 am Tuesday morning, after the severe weather conditions damaged the Digicel site in the Belmont area.

John indicated that full service had been restored during the day.

The release apologized to customers for the inconvenience and said that providing its customers with best coverage, service and value is the company’s utmost priority.
