Under the theme “Empowering Young Minds for a Healthy, Productive and Sustainable Future,” the programme will engage young people in a broad spectrum of topics ranging from healthy lifestyles to biodiversity and team-building. Hands-on activities, a drama session and an environmental tour will round out the programming.

The programme targets teens between the ages of 13 and 17. The daily sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the environmental tour on Friday, Aug. 6, extending until 4 p.m.

“Youth development has been a major focus for JEMS for many years,” noted JEMS President Rhonda Lee in announcing the Vacation Programme. “The long school holiday provides an excellent opportunity to help the young people focus on personal growth through positive activities. We’ve put together a team of highly qualified leaders to build a strong four-day programme we think will appeal to our youth,” she added.

In Enhams, registration forms are available from Annetta Jackson at the JEMS Pre-School, telephone 526-1402. In Carapan, forms are available from Bernard Sayers, telephone 528-2155.
