Toastmasters elects new executive

The Toastmasters Achievers Club has elected a new executive to run its affairs from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. The elections were held on May 8, 2010.{{more}}

The new executive is made up of President: Wendie Edwards-Wilson; Vice President Education: Kenneth Onu; Vice President Membership: Gloria H. Williams; Vice President Public Relations: La Fayette F. Johnson; Secretary: Afzal Abdool; Treasurer: Sandra Cheryl Samuel; Sergeant at Arms: Glenda Matthews.

Toastmaster Achievers Club is a chartered club of Toastmaster International Inc. There are now three chartered Toastmasters clubs in St. Vincent: Achievers Toastmasters Club; Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club and Creative Thinkers Toastmasters Club.

Toastmasters International is an organization that is devoted to making effective oral communication a worldwide reality. This is done by members giving speeches and taking on leadership roles in a friendly and supportive environment. Listening, interpersonal skills and evaluation skills are also assessed on a continuous basis.
