Getting in shape with the Wellness Revolution
Trainer Kenville Horne giving instructions during an aerobics session at the Questelles {{more}} Government School last Tuesday.
The sessions, which have been running for the past seven months, take place for about 90 minutes to two hours every Tuesday and Thursday, with an average of 17 persons each session.
Horne told SEARCHLIGHT that the meetings are part of the âWellness Revolutionâ and mostly women attend.
The Division of Sports employee also gives attendees information on dieting to supplement the work out sessions.
The Ministry of Health says that a ânormalâ Vincentian adult should do aerobic exercises such as running, stepping, jogging, swimming or sports for no less than 30 minutes a day, at least three times a week.
Horne said similar groups meet across St Vincent and the Grenadines, including at the Central Market in Kingstown, at the National Insurance Services Golden Years Centres and at schools.
